Executive Branding Cost in 2026: What Agencies Charge and What You Get
Nov 05, 2026This article was written by Marina Byezhanova, Co-Founder and CEO of Brand of a Leader - the only personal branding agency designed specifically for GenX Founders and Executives. Short answer: In 2026, executive branding in the US costs from $0 to $1,500 a month for DIY tools and coaching, about $500 to $3,000 a month for a freelance ghostwriter, about $1,500 to $7,000 a month for a boutique agency, and $7,500 to $30,000 or more a month for premium full-service programs that add PR and media. Most agencies also charge a one-time fee for brand strategy.
Why is executive branding pricing so hard to find?
Executive branding pricing is hard to find because most agencies only share numbers on a sales call. When we researched this article, many well-known firms had no prices anywhere on their websites. Most of the “cost guides” that rank on Google are written by agencies selling in the ranges they recommend.
Unlike many of our competitors, we believe in transparency, which is why we share all of our pricing on our website. Why book a call when you have no idea whether the pricing you are going to be quoted is even within your budget? For this article, we went a step further. We pulled published prices from provider websites, kept them separate from third-party estimates, and built the ranges below from what we could verify.
How much does executive branding cost in 2026?
Executive branding costs between $0 and $30,000 or more per month in 2026, depending on who does the work and how many channels they cover. The table below groups the options into four tiers.
Prices checked November 2026.
|
Tier |
Typical monthly cost (USD) |
What you usually get |
Best fit |
|
DIY and coaching |
$0 to $1,500 |
Self-serve audits, courses, group coaching, your own time |
Leaders testing whether they will publish consistently |
|
Freelancer or ghostwriter |
About $500 to $3,000 |
One writer, LinkedIn posts, light strategy |
Leaders who already have a clear positioning and only need visibility on LinkedIn |
|
Boutique agency |
About $1,500 to $7,000 |
Strategy, ghostwriting, profile work, some podcast placements or media |
Founders and CEOs who want a team handling one or two channels |
|
Premium full-service |
About $7,500 to $30,000+ |
Content, PR, media relations, speaking, search and reputation work |
Public company leaders and executives with national media goals through traditional channels |
The tiers overlap because a senior freelancer can charge more than a small agency, and some agencies sell a low entry plan and a high premium plan.
What do published prices actually look like?
Here is a sample of providers that list prices on their own websites, as we read them in November 2026.
|

|
$799/month (LinkedIn only) or $1,250/month (full visibility); $49 report; $399 audit |

|

$650/month to $3,999/month |
LinkedIn ghostwriting and founder branding retainer |
|
|
$1,000 for the first 30 days, then $1,500/month |
Monthly, no long-term lock-in |
|
|

|
|
From $6,750/month |
6-month minimum |
|
|
$7,500 to $20,000+/month |
PR and thought leadership programs |
|
|
From $15,000/month |
6-month minimum |
The authors of third-party guides quote higher numbers. Clash Creation places “most credible agencies” at $8,000 to $15,000 per month, and 1DS Collective puts boutique agencies at $3,000 to $8,000. Both are agencies, so read their ranges as estimates.
What does DIY and coaching cost?
DIY and coaching cost from nothing to about $1,500 a month, plus optional intensives. This tier is a good fit for leaders who have time to write and want a framework.
- Self-serve audits: InView lists a $49 visibility report and a $399 expert audit.
- Group programs: Brand Builders Group lists a $3,000 annual tier and a $1,499/month program on a 12-month commitment.
- Strategy intensives: the same company lists 2-day sessions at $15,000 (virtual) to $22,500 (on-site).
- Coaching estimates: AM World Group estimates personal brand coaches at $150 to $500 per hour.
The real cost of this tier is your time. If you will not publish yourself every week, you will not save money with a cheaper plan.
What does a LinkedIn ghostwriter cost?
A LinkedIn ghostwriter typically costs about $500 to $3,000 a month, depending on experience and volume. Upwork lists the median ghostwriter rate at $32 an hour, with most work between $20 and $45 an hour, according to Reachly’s 2026 guide.
Per post, Windmill’s cost-per-post analysis puts LinkedIn writing between roughly $50 and $800 a post. Senior independent ghostwriters charge the top of that range.
A ghostwriter is a strong choice when your positioning is already clear. If you have not yet decided what you want to be known for, the writer has to guess, and your readers will notice.
What does a boutique personal branding agency cost?
A boutique personal branding agency costs about $1,500 to $7,000 a month in 2026. This is the tier with the most published pricing, and it is where most founders and CEOs of private companies land.
At this level, you can expect:
- A positioning or brand strategy phase, often billed once
- Regular LinkedIn content written in your voice
- Profile optimization
- Some podcast outreach or earned media, depending on the plan
- A monthly or quarterly review of results
Minimum terms are common. InView starts with 3 months, and Profile asks for 6.
What does premium full-service executive branding cost?
Premium full-service executive branding costs about $7,500 to $30,000 or more a month. At this level, a team runs content, PR, media relations, speaking and search visibility together.
Few providers in this tier publish prices. Techterum’s top plan is $9,500 a month, Reputation Ink quotes $7,500 to $20,000+, and Digitize starts at $15,000 a month with Enterprise programs from $30,000. Most premium firms ask for a 6-month minimum.
This tier makes sense when you have national media goals, a board or investor audience, or several executives to support.
What do executive PR and podcast booking cost on their own?
Executive PR and podcast booking cost from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands a month, depending on whether you pay for effort or for placements.
|
Service |
Published or estimated price |
Source |
|
Thought leadership PR retainer |
$3,000 to $10,000/month (estimate) |
|
|
Pay-for-placement membership |
$990 to $2,500/month, plus placements from $495 |
|
|
Podcast booking, flat rate |
$499/month for one guaranteed placement |
|
|
Podcast booking, package |
$2,500 for 10 bookings; $4,000 for 25 |
Be careful with guaranteed placements. Ask which outlet you are paying for, and whether the article is labeled as paid. The readers you most want to reach may give less weight to a paid placement in a lesser-known outlet.
What drives the price up or down?
Most of the price comes down to five factors:
- Number of channels. LinkedIn alone costs less than LinkedIn plus PR, podcasts and speaking.
- Seniority of the team. Senior strategists and writers charge more than junior teams.
- Volume. Twelve posts a month cost less than daily posting plus articles.
- Earned media. Pitching journalists and writing full-length articles takes skilled people and many hours.
- Strategy depth. A real positioning phase with interviews costs more upfront and gives your writers a clear direction for every later piece of content.

Brand of a Leader charges $1,500 a month for ongoing thought leadership, or $2,000 a month when the retainer includes a fully written and pitched article (we are the only agency to offer this service!). We publish our prices because we believe you should see them before a call.

Is executive branding worth the cost?
Executive branding is worth the cost when you can name the opportunities you gain from being more visible, such as deals, hires, board seats, speaking invitations and investor conversations.
Judge any provider on the outcomes you want in 12 months. Then ask how they measure progress each quarter. At Brand of a Leader, we review audience growth, engagement, media placements, podcast appearances, article performance and search visibility every quarter.
How do you choose the right tier?
Choose the tier that matches the outcome you need and the time you can give. Use this quick guide:
- Pick DIY or coaching if you enjoy writing and have 3 or more hours a week.
- Pick a freelancer if your positioning is clear and you only need help writing.
- Pick a boutique agency if you want strategy, content and some media handled by one team.
- Pick premium full-service if you need national media and a team running several channels at once.
Before you sign, ask every provider for their published price, the minimum term, what is included each month and who will write in your voice.

Do executive branding agencies require long contracts?
Many do. Published minimums we found range from 3 months (InView) to 6 months (Profile, Digitize), and Brand Builders Group’s monthly program runs on a 12-month commitment. Some providers, such as Jennavi, offer month-to-month terms.

Many companies do pay for executive branding as part of their marketing budget. Whether the expense is deductible depends on your situation and where you file, so check with your accountant.
How long does it take to see results?
Developing the core brand identity takes 8 to 12 weeks. Leaders often notice early recognition after a quarter of consistent work, and stronger results build over several months.
Is a cheaper ghostwriter enough?
A ghostwriter can be enough when you already know what you stand for and who you want to reach. If you do not, start with strategy so the writing has direction.
