Your brand is a multiplier for your marketing

marketing personalbrand socialmedia Feb 10, 2021

You can market a product or a service without a strong brand. And yet what a strong brand does is multiply the outcome of your marketing efforts.

How does this apply to personal branding?

If you are posting on social media, giving talks, running a podcast show or growing a YouTube channel, these are all examples of marketing activities. You are marketing yourself and building a network as a result. The ROI of these efforts and the size of your network are reflective of the strength and consistency of your marketing.

What a personal brand does is multiply the outcome of your efforts.

How?

Your personal brand gives clarity to your messaging, defines your unique narrative that allows you to stand out, and creates affinity (which in turn has the capacity of turning your followers into inspired fans).

Most entrepreneurs reach out to our team wanting to jump straight into marketing. It’s not something we do. Our step one is without compromise personal brand discovery. Once the brand is clearly defined, we progress to marketing it and scaling its reach.

A brand can exist without marketing but it won’t have legs to run on. Marketing can exist without a brand but it will be missing a soul.

Working on having both takes time but the result is beautiful and the multiplier effect is rewarding.
